The Agency
Images from the cancelled game by Sony Online Entertainment. Due to financial woes, the company unfortunately abandoned this project.
We had worked on it for several years, and it had many innovative gameplay mechanics that were not in other similar games. It was shaping up to be amazing.
This one makes me the saddest that it never saw release, as I was there from its inception and we had all invested a lot of thought, effort and heart.
Our main character Gavin went through many iterations
Our body mesh for M2. Originally there were a total of 4 body types for males, but we dropped the largest eventually
This is the body lined up with Sam Woods concept art
An example without the wireframe
I had built her head, refined the body John made and updated the outfit he created
We had not yet solved the hair, but this refined Cassy was addressing the new AD's direction
Sam Wood made these concept Drawings of Cassy.
This was one of the ranks of characters a player could attain
A more casual look
One of the combat ranks in Z brush with simple colors.
Working out the style cues. We ended up taking away some of the "boxy" planarity of the face.
An early combat rank
Another breakdown of the work we were doing. It was high fidelity at the time, ha
We submitted this for our updates to Sony to show what we were up to
...one more. I think it may no longer be "next gen".
Some Duncan test expressions
One of the iterations I built to explore possibilities
The sculpt in Zbrush for the Das Komitee guard
This was one of the tougher NPC opponents that I built
We had 3 female body types. I made the thinner version and the largest version, John Hermanowski did a wonderful version in between
We had 4 Male versions. I made 1, 2 and 4 and John Hermanowski made number 3. To be fair, the largest one was derived from Johns version. Eventually we dropped this variation, as its production cost down the line was higher than we could accommodate with all the interchangeable assets.
The male 02 body with color
This was one of our first models, used in the video below by Luke Anderson

I created the model, and Luke Anderson made the video to show us the possibilities of MOCAP data
Duncan Demo
We made this as a proof of concept for the studio, and my first face blendshapes in production. I made the head, hair and blend shapes, Theron Benson did the rigging and animation and John Hermanowski made the body (male V3) and accessories.
